Image
Finally got the cover for Carlie Simonsen's Rocky and the Spacefarers' Christma s . This little beauty is now ready for its release day on December 4th! Rocky is on a starship to another world, and it’s boring. He misses Earth. He misses his farm. He misses his pony. Worst of all, it looks like he’s going to miss Christmas, too. And then he meets Elita, an alien girl missing her own end-of-year celebration—Hajranath. The two of them get to talking, and decide that a party is just what everybody needs, but how are they ever going to convince the grown-ups? Rocky and the Spacefarers’ Christmas is the second book in the Otherworld Adventures series, which is set on Rocky’s journey to the new world where his parents will farm alongside the aliens. Keep an eye out for it on Kobo, Smashwords, Kindle and DriveThru, where it will soon be up for pre-order.

Hey all - Carlie Simonsen's young adult fantasy adventure Orb Wielder is now available on Smashwords - and will soon be available in print. When Liralee buys an orb from the Shawl Lady’s stall, she opens a path to another world, for the orb is not just a pretty glass ball that impresses her friends; it’s a symbol of power that produces magic for enchantments. And it’s wanted by two warring kingdoms and a sorcerer with plans of conquest. When strangers try to take the orb, and her friends gather to aid her, Liralee begins an adventure that could end in disaster or victory. The choice is hers.

Anyway, up to now, I have only written chapter books as Carlie Simonsen, and now I want to release young adult fiction so, instead of launching yet another pen name, I decided that Carlie could be the name on those as well. After all, she’s had a little practice in this field. Anyway, the earliest work I have in this genre consists of three complete novels. Without giving too much away, they are as follows: Anna and the Rock Dragons : which was written and revised between 1991 and 1993, and then rewritten between December 28 and 31, 2014. You could probably call it urban fantasy, given it features dragons, but most of Anna and the Rock Dragons is set in t...
