Cover Reveal - Chronicles of a Dark God: Dark God's Rise

Image
The Chronicles of a Dark God trilogy is coming! And Jake at JCaleb Design has created some wonderful covers for it. What's the Trilogy About? When an ancient deity begins to make its presence felt in the city of Kericliff, an unlikely group of heroes rise to meet it: a rejected priest and his barbarian protector, a wizardess and her apprentices in fear of their lives...and a messenger from a distant land. Together they must travel to Wildejun, attend a swap meet of the gods, and then work together to discover and overcome an ancient evil, before it can escape its prison and return to power. Book 2: Dark God's Rise The search for the dark god begins in earnest, and our heroes journey takes them across rivers and through magical forests where they encounter twisted elementals, flesh-eating undead, and raiders...but does it bring them any closer to their goal? Words from Day 6 of Writing - Lunar Wolves: The Undiscovered

Image
Not so many words done, today. There was admin I've been putting off so that I could get a writing habit going. I'm three days into the new habit, and the admin couldn't be put off any longer. Still, I hit the minimum on the work-for-hire, and still wrangled a thousand for the novel, as well as dealing with a goodly chunk of the backlog. Starting Words: 16,081 Finishing Words: 17,224 Words Written: 1,143 Other Words:  5,416 words Other Project/Project Aspects Advanced: 1 (work-for-hire) and 1 blog entry Excerpt: In which Oliver realizes Belle has secrets... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “You were a costume designer!” Oliver protested. “You have no idea how this world operates.” This time the glance Belle cast at Enshevra was more coquettish than anything else. “I’m guessing you’ve read my file by now?” The wolf caught Oliver’s startled glance and had the grace to look away...

Words from Day 5 of Writing - Lunar Wolves: The Undiscovered

Every day, I wake up and look at the word count, and every day I doubt I can reach my goals. A thousand other things become overpoweringly important the moment I sit down to type, even though I'm happy to start and usually at my happiest when spinning story. My brain skitters from one thing to the next, until I can grab hold of it, and point it in the right direction...and then it settles...and then sometimes, just when I'm thinking I've hit the day's quota and it might be time to stop, it throws in something extra...like the conversation, this extract is part of...and I find myself typing for another hour at the end of a 10-hour day. Starting Words: 11,046 Finishing Words: 16,081 Words Written: 5,035 Other Words:  6,175 words Other Project/Project Aspects Advanced: 2 (work-for-hire & outline notes) and 2 blog entries Excerpt: In which a mind-ship, allowed a lupari security tech to walk into his cockpit... ----------------------------------------------------------...
