CM Simpson: Writer & Gamer

I was a little startled by the impact last week’s unscheduled interruptions had on the schedule, and had to triage. Determined to keep the book focus, I had to let things slide on the content creation front…at least a little. Unfortunately, I managed to catch the same flu my child had brought home, and this meant a lot more had to be let go in favor of trying to get better. Goals for March 2026, Week 2, ending March 14, 2026 Write 1 short story submission for a new magazine market; Publish the next novel a week ahead of schedule;   Maintain content creation schedule. Goals Completed March 2026, Week 2, ending March 14, 2026 Completed short story submission and submitted on due date;   Novel formatted to Nuke stage; and   Minor slippage on content creation schedule; still retrievable. So, with last week's hurdles in mind, I set my aim lower this week, writing my goals down on the 22nd, but too busy trying to achieve them to post them, here. There's only a tiny bit of writing included in this week's goals as January's releases became a priority in both my writing and video sectors. Here is what they were: Main Goals: 1.  Write 7 poems for Another 366 Days of Poetry (mixed genre, currently 32,180 words) 2.  Write 7 pieces of flash for Another 366 Days of Flash Fiction (mixed genre, currently 40,209) 3. Record the next 31 videos on the schedule 4. Record the next 22 gameplay videos for the series set for completion 5. Edit the next 28 gameplay videos 6. Schedule the next 28 gameplay videos 7. Schedule the 10 Writer Reads videos required to complete the readings for the first December release 8. Schedule the 2 Writer Reads videos required for the second December release 9. Well, January sure blew by fast! And December? Don’t even ask; it was a whirlwind. I think I missed the December progress report, but I won’t bore you with it, now. Now is all about January, and a new year, and new beginnings and all that kind of stuff… unless you calculate your year by the Australian financial year – which would make this the mid-year report, instead of the first annual report.
