CM Simpson: Writer & Gamer

This year has so far seen a release each month. In the first quarter, we saw additions to three different series. The first was A Collection of Shifters , the thirteenth volume in the C.M.'s Collections series, which has brought together all the short fiction and poetry written to a certain theme. This one brought together all the shifter stories...or most...that I have written to date, and included at least one new novella-length piece. It was released on January 17, 2023. It's taken me a while to get back to this book and continue writing. As I create this post, The Undiscovered is half-way complete for the expected word count of 80,000 words. If the story runs longer, then that completion will take a little longer, but I've recommenced work on it. As to what I've been doing since the last post for it. Well, On the writing front, I've ghosted another half dozen or so books, completed a couple of collections, reworked the release schedule for this year into something more realistic, and published a book a month out to April 2022. I've also continued to establish my first Youtube channel for gaming, while I plan a second channel dedicated to my writing. On the personal front, I moved into a place of my own, had two weeks of strong reactions to my covid inoculations, dealt with a couple of things on the family front, and started settling into a new town. The third instalment in the Strays of Lunar One series is half-way through being written, and is not yet available for pre-order. It has a tentative release date, which I'll share once I know it's solid. This book finds Oliver and Lewis with the tables turned as Aylin Starshadow shows them exactly how well a human can integrate into lupari society...even as she seeks to aid the pack trying to retrieve her, and eliminate them, without allowing either of those two things to happen. Long day writing. Work continues on three projects. Today I wrote for the work-for-hire, and then laid down some more words on The Undiscovered , Book 3 of the Strays of Lunar One series. He’d slammed open the door, and was rampaging down the corridor, taking out whatever crewman was unfortunate enough to be in his way. His wolf didn’t differentiate between perpetrator and someone from a different department. As far as it was concerned they were all guilty. Lewis followed, keeping his back clear and shooting anyone who tried to come at them from the other direction.
