Short Story Excerpt from Tales of Mack 'n' Me

Image
I'm working multiple projects at the moment. Strays of Lunar One is still scheduled, but I'd like to have most of the series complete before Book 1 releases, so this is one of those things that will release first. This collection gathers all the short stories that have been written about Mack and Cutter and places them in the order they occur in relation to events in the novels from the Mack 'n' Me 'n' Odyssey series. This one takes place sometime between The Wolves of Alpha 9 and Diplomacy 101 . Not surprising for a master assassin, just bad for Mack…and bad for me. Case was beside herself. She cornered me in the caf before I even hit the counter. “He’s gone!” she told me, and I stopped dead. To be fair, I stopped dead because she was standing right in fr

A Piece of Flash from the Lunar One Universe

Image
I know it's been a while since I posted a snippet from the current Strays of Lunar One novel. Those will be returning as soon as I clear the current backlog. In the meantime, here's the most recent piece of flash fiction I wrote for Another 365 Days of Flash Fiction . The view above was one of which he never tired. Earth. The world of his ancestors hung above him, still mostly red and brown, still sick from the wars that had been waged and the lack of care humanity’s forebears had shown, but it had survived. “For you maybe!” his daughter snarled, her green-blu

An Update, a Poem and a New Cover

I know it's been a while since I actually blogged...or did a writing blog, but here's where we're at this week. By far the best news this week was the arrival of a new cover by Jake at JCaleb Design. It's for the upcoming re-release of 366 Days of Flash Fiction and it is nothing short of spectacular .     I have spent far too much time staring at it, but other news from this week, includes, in brief: Another 365 Days of Poetry is almost done...and I'll be writing the last two pieces for that as soon as I finish with this post. I've also advanced Another 365 Days of Flash Fiction , and I'll post the latest piece I wrote for that, tomorrow. If you're a fan of the Lunar Wolves , stay tuned for that. The work-for-hire has been difficult but is going well and now entering the final stages as its deadline draws near. Needless to say, I can't share any of that. And, finally, I've been working on an exclusive short story for the Tales of Mack 'n'
