PokemonGo - Excitement Plus! Hoenn is almost here!

Image
Well, I think Hoenn is almost here, I can see the medal for the region's pokemon on my pokemongo app. I am really looking forward to seeing some new pokemon! Oh! And I levelled up while walking to the bus after class, yesterday, so, I have to be happy with that, right? :-) And I completely forgot about finally catching that 200th electric-type pokemon, when I got off the bus. I'm studying for exams. It's only when I stop and look back that I see what happened in between.

This Week's New Pokemon: Larvitar, Hatchlings, Double Everything, and Still No Raids for Me

Image
I started back on my exercise routine on Sunday, combining Ingress and PokemonGo with a bit of family time, so not a lot of gaming went on, but it was enough. The company was enjoyable, and great delight was taken in seeing sheep in a nearby field, dogs out with their families, and small birds doing their best to remain unseen. Oh, and there were attempted tonsil pictures... Don't ask; it's a kid thing. Anyway, the day, by 10 a.m. was absolutely glorious! To be honest, I didn't expect much out of today's jaunt, just some stop spins, and the incidental catch, but Old Palmerville has this tendency to have a concentration of one type of pokemon, amidst all the rest - and there are a lot of pokemon, there. This week, it seems to be spinarak. I like spinarak. I caught 3, but saw around a half dozen in the short time I was there. The highlight of the walk, apart from a very cute bull terrier pup, was catching this little larvitar. It's not the best at battling, but ...

Be Vewy, Vewy, Quiet... We are Hunting Spinaraks...

So, second walk today was all about the spinaraks. Basically, we have the Palmerville Heritage Park nearby. Although there is usually a ton of pokemon in this park, and you need to stock up on pokeballs if you want to "catch them all", I've also noticed that there is always a concentration of one particular type. A few weeks ago, it was teddiursa. This week, it was spinarak - with a definite uptick of chicoritas towards the end of the day. If you take a look at the pictures above, you'll see both. I'd predict that this week will be a good one for catching these in the park - although I have been known to be wrong. This is what came up on the scanner as I was leaving the park. So,I took a writing break this afternoon, and spent an hour and a bit hunting down the little arachnoidal insects, and stuffing them into pokeballs. They were fairly feisty. But did I catch any? Well, yes. Yes I did.

Pokemon Go: Pokedex Monster #112

Image
Yeah, I know. It's not writing, but I figured you could do with a break from that. Apologies for not remembering to take a picture in the Augmented Reality mode, but here's a shot from the Pokeball. It's a mankey. First and only one I've ever seen, found down at the Kaleen Shopping Centre in Canberra, yesterday at around 08:10 - and #112. I won't bore you with pictures of the 111 that came before - well, not today, at least, but, seeing as new ones are becoming few and far between, I'll introduce them as I see them - and let you know if they were caught or not.

Progress Report: Week Ending December 3, 2016

This week, I tried to increase my fitness routine—and, even though it is summer, I tried to incorporate my walking into my drop-off routine, aiming for a regular two-hour walk straight after school drop off. I lasted three days, before I started to get sick. It might have been okay if the temperatures hadn’t reached over twenty-nine degrees Celsius, before I was done, on each of those days, but it did, and the rest of the week was warmer. On th fourth day, I had mild flu-like symptoms, so I rested for most of the day, but did some vacuuming and gardening in the evening, instead. On the fifth day, I was short of breath, and realised I was reacting to something local, but couldn’t pin-point what. As far as I was aware, I’m not asthmatic, although I may have become hay-feverish since coming to Canberra. Again, I rested, inside, away from the pollen, during the day, but gardened in the evening cool. I was still not a hundred percent on the seventh day, but took a short walk, nonetheless...

Well, still getting back into the routine of writing full-time. Studies are over, but the results aren’t in. I got a fair amount done – more than I thought I had. This week, I took a couple of long walks for fitness, and caught up on a few things around the house, while I worked out some plot-knots in my NaNo novel. And I revamped the writing and publishing schedule to something more realistic, as I relearned limits within the framework of real life.   Overview New words produced: 21,747 Old words revised: 5,914 Outlines and Notes: 377 Works completed: 21 (for inclusion in 5 different collections) Works revised: 1 (partial, prior to continuing) Covers created: 1 (for this week’s release: The Sevarine Sidestep ) Works published: 0 Works submitted: 0 Competitions Entered: 0 Bloggery: 440 University Prep and Assignments: 0 Stepping Up Challenge Update As this challenge becomes less relevant to the direction I’m headed in, I will consider discontinu...
