Wednesday's Verse - Life's Not Fair When You're Five

You can also find Kristine Kathryn Rusch's latest free short story over on her blog: kriswrites.com . Why don't you go and check it out?

LAST WEEK, Simone revealed that the Pain-Eaters were coming. This week, Tiger says FedExplore are moving their complex, and she has to hurry if she's going to save her sisters. Chapter 8 (Excerpt) – Answers & Oops Wow, Simone! That is some letter! Firstly, I can’t get Odyssey and Redstone to evacuate. They absolutely, point-blank refused—and, this time, I think they actually agreed with each other. Neither of them wants to leave. They both said we had to see the experiment through. And, yes, I raised all your points with them. I told them about not knowing the numbers we could expect in an incursion, or the weapons, or how the aliens fight. I asked how many they sent to Deskeden, or Tarvesh, and no-one gave me any answers. The only good thing that came out of it was that the security detail started to look worried. I’ve done enough digging to know that, when these guys get worried, they go and do something about it. They’ll be digging, even if th
