Accountability: Outcomes—Week 3, December 2025

Of the goals set for the week just gone, this is the outcome.   Achieved: 1. Recorded the next 29/28 gameplay videos for the schedule; 2. Edited the next 30/28 gameplay videos for the schedule; 3. Scheduled the 10/10 videos to accompany the novel release. Partly Achieved 1. Recorded the next 11/22 gameplay videos for the completion series; 2. Scheduled the next 25/28 gameplay videos for the schedule; 3. Edited and formatted, but did not schedule the 2 videos for the short story release; 4. Wrote 2/7 poems for Another 366 Days of Poetry. Not Achieved Did not complete the 7 pieces of flash from the main goals, and did not complete the novel from the stretch goals. Did not complete the publishing cycle for January 2026. Swapped In 1. Edited and formatted the 3 reading videos for a second upcoming short story release; 2. Began industry-accredited courses in computer coding and Spanish as part of external obligations. First Words and Work Lists—July 14, 2018

I’m prepping this early, in the vague hope that I will get it out, today. When I rolled out my plans for the beginning of the week, I had the following tasks that I wanted to achieve: finish Mack ‘n’ Me: The Transporter’s Favour ; finish two short stories; finish 15 poems; and finish 20 pieces of flash fiction. I was also vaguely hopeful that I could also : finish the revamp of Long Hair ; complete 4 covers; write a brief outline of Mack ‘n’ Me: Wolves of TBD ; and start writing Mack ‘n’ Me: Wolves of TBD . Well, I became totally distracted, today. Whether it’s because I lacked the necessary discipline, or because the household tasks really were that important, you can decide, but my floors are now clean, my washing is done, I’ve designed another partial cover for a flash fiction collection, I updated my blog, and I managed to take two walks, today—albeit both a lot shorter than I liked. Writing Life: Shifting the Goal Posts

As I said yesterday, I’m changing things around to allow myself to work in blocks, and to release collections, earlier. These are the changes, with one caveat: I have applied to full-time work, an these goals will have to change if I am successful, and decide to accept the position. For now, everything remains in play. Original Goals Publish Fortnightly: This goal is remaining, although you will notice that releases could occur at shorter intervals as I get my writing and publishing routine up to speed. Short Story/Month Goal: This goal remains the same. There will only be one short story individually published each month. There may, however, be more than one short story published in a month, depending on what short story collections are released, as a number of those will contain content exclusive to that collection, and the short works collection published for that year.
