Yesterday's Words #5 - Andromeda's Pledge #1

Long day, yesterday - and a difficult one, but the words got done, albeit on one project. Here you go: Words from the Seventh: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Andromeda's Pledge (Chapter 6): The ‘General Broadcast’ screen returned, and was replaced by a black screen with white letters. It read: Communications channel closed. Emergency use only. “Well, that’s hardly ideal,” Casilia murmured, wondering how Ivan was going to let her know when he’d found Kimmie. She’d barely finished speaking, when Captain Poulsson’s face replaced the black screen. “Mrs. Adriksson?” he began. “Yes,” Casilia acknowledged, wondering who else he’d expected to find in her pod. She waited for him to continue. He paused for a few seconds, and then spoke. “I’m sorry, but we’ve been forced to call off the crew search for your daughter. Progress Report—August 12-August 18, 2018

Last week, the third week of August, was a good week, even if I got quite sidetracked in the last half of the week. I was almost completely pain free, although there’s still a bit of heat in the elbow, so I’m wary. My writing increased… right up to the point I realised I had some administrative tasks that had to be done. I created a newsletter and a mailing list people could sign up to, and that was a pretty steep learning curve so I focused on that, rather than the writing for a couple of days. It’s still a work in progress, but I can continue to build on it, so it will get better. I also added to the to-do list, but you’ll get enough of that as things happen over the next few weeks. In the meantime, this is what got done in the last week: Progress: August 12-August 18, 2018 New words produced: 12,300 Outlines and Notes: 1,115 Words compiled: 0 Works completed: 0 Works edited: 0 Covers created: 0 Works formatted: 0 Works publis...

First Words for the Day—July 2, 2018

Yesterday saw me get more into the swing of things. The new schedule still looks like a mess, but I think it's redeemable... if I don't spend too much time hanging out on social media. This is my last catch-up post, and my next-to-last post for the day... because I still have today's first words to write. This post also sees the first up-kick in production - first words from TWO projects. Mack ‘n’ Me: The Transporter's Favour Delight took us straight from the sparring mats to wolf-based scenarios—and from the feel of those, she’d ripped them straight out of some poor soul’s head. Several poor souls, if the team’s reactions were anything to go by… and then we came to the one where we were staring down a newly docked wolf-drop-ship in a spaceship’s hangar bay, and I was sure of it. She didn’t give me time to do more than glare, and the scenario started rolling—and she’d tweaked it.  Of course, she had. “You spit-sucking, psychotic, mouth-breeding—...
