Words from Day 13 of Writing The Undiscovered
Long day writing. Work continues on three projects. Today I wrote for the work-for-hire, and then laid down some more words on The Undiscovered, Book 3 of the Strays of Lunar One series. Here's a short extract from today:

What Oliver was doing on the Xanil ship had to be seen to be believed. He’d slammed open the door, and was rampaging down the corridor, taking out whatever crewman was unfortunate enough to be in his way. His wolf didn’t differentiate between perpetrator and someone from a different department. As far as it was concerned they were all guilty.
Lewis followed, keeping his back clear and shooting anyone who tried to come at them from the other direction. He kept Aylin safe, too, letting the girl travel between him and the alpha, but giving her a clear line of fire as soon as he realized she could shoot.
And where did she learn to do that? Septu wondered, as the girl took down three security members in quick succession, each shot precisely aimed and fired as fast as Lewis’s one.
“Oliver Landstrom!” the girl snapped. “Find my people and get them out of here!”
Something in her sharp tone got through the alpha’s anger.
“Septu!” he roared, tearing through another locking mechanism and storming inside.
The room was empty, but the san unit attached was not. It was in need of sanitizing itself by the time Oliver was through with it.
“Scanning,” Septu replied, cursing himself for not thinking to do it ahead of time. What if Oliver’s rampage had taken him away from the direction they needed to go?
It hadn’t, and the ship had to wonder just how far the wolf was lost to his anger to have kept moving in the right direction in spite of it.
Alpha, he reminded himself, beginning to understand some of the elements that created one. Control, apparently, was key.
