Words from Day 6 of Writing - Lunar Wolves: The Undiscovered

Not so many words done, today. There was admin I've been putting off so that I could get a writing habit going. I'm three days into the new habit, and the admin couldn't be put off any longer. Still, I hit the minimum on the work-for-hire, and still wrangled a thousand for the novel, as well as dealing with a goodly chunk of the backlog.

Excerpt: In which Oliver realizes Belle has secrets...

“You were a costume designer!” Oliver protested. “You have no idea how this world operates.”

This time the glance Belle cast at Enshevra was more coquettish than anything else. “I’m guessing you’ve read my file by now?”

The wolf caught Oliver’s startled glance and had the grace to look away.

“I have,” he admitted, bracing up and raising his head as the alpha took a quick stride toward him, stopping after just one step to glare at him in frustration, and then snap an equally frustrated glance at his mate.

“What is it I don’t know?” he asked
