Project Overview and Progress Report Week 1 March

So, I’ve blogged about a number of projects I’m working on. Below is a full list of the projects I’ve mentioned and where they’re at. In my next post, I’ll divide these into ‘Current Focus’ and ‘Backburner’ projects. For now, here are the projects I’ve mentioned and the new ones that have arrived during the writing process:

Adventure1: A paranormal urban setting. Recently learned an update of rules was in progress, but will continue writing and then tweak. Blurb, outline, introduction, encounters 1-2 completed. Currently at 15,000 words.
Adventure2: Science-fiction historical setting. Blurb completed.
Adventure3: Fantasy setting. Outline complete. Awaiting editorial feedback and tweaks prior to progressing writing.
Adventure4: Fantasy setting. Outline complete. Awaiting editorial feedback and tweaks prior to progressing writing.
Anthology1: Revision of 3 stories completed for a total of 8,000 words. New story underway but not being cooperative. Cover completed.
Anthology2: Revision of 1 story complete.
CrimeNovel1: Chapter revision complete. Finishing novel. Currently at 55,000 words.
DarkFantasy1: I have completed reviewing comments from a writer friend and they complement the doubts I was having about this one so I am undertaking a complete overhaul and rewrite. Completed original draft stands at 83,000 words. Rewrite stands at 1,000.
Novella1: This is being written by PenName1 and is progressing slowly, but has reached 20,000 words.
Novella2: Also written by PenName1 and going slowly, but has also reached 20,000 words.
Novella1A: This is being written by PenName2 and has been retitled RomanceNovel1.
Picturebook1: An urban fantasy about starting school for which the writing is completed at 700 words. I’m still contemplating what I want to do about the illustrations.
Picturebook2: Another urban fantasy about litter, for which the writing is completed at 828 words. As with PictureBook1, I’m still wondering what to do about illustrations.
Picturebook3: An living Australian animal, urban fantasy, for which the concept is complete. I will solve the illustration dilemma for this book, when I solve it for the others.
Project1: Awaiting contract finalisation prior to progression. December 2011 version reached 75,000 words but rewrite will be more streamlined and has so far shrunk to 65,000 words.
Project2: Currently on the back-burner at 3,000 words.
Project3: A new fantasy setting which arrived today as a result of revisions for Anthology2. Three novel outlines have attached themselves to this setting.
RomanceNovel1: Written by PenName2, I have so far revised 16 of the 19 chapters prior to completing the last few thousand words. Originally intended for 55,000 words, it is going to go over, but this no longer matters as I will be independently publishing it. 53,000 words complete.
ShortStory1: This is linked to Project1 and is currently on the backburner at 400 words.
ShortStory2: This is linked to Anthology1, and is being difficult to write.
YANovel1: A contemporary crime novel, for which the outline is almost complete. An adult series character may have been born while working on this. This YANovel will most likely form the basis of a series.
YANovel2: A fantasy novel originally intended for a published setting, this novel is undergoing an overhaul and now fits in the world setting for DarkFantasy1. It has also expanded into a series. The overview for the first book in the series is not yet complete.
YANovel3A: This is a fantasy novel that will need some serious work to set it up independently of the setting for which it was originally intended. Background work has been progressed, and outlines completed, but no writing as this definitely on the backburner.
YANovel4: Another fantasy novel, but one that needs minimum work to bring across to my own world. I’m rather looking forward to this one, but it is currently at 1,500 words and most definitely on the backburner.
YANovel5A: Another fantasy novel and also on the backburner.
