Accountability: Goals for Week Ending January 3, 2026 (Week 4, December 2025)

It looks crazy, but it’s called ‘taking the pressure down.’ The current goals take into account the need to publish at an accelerated schedule on both the writing and video fronts, in order to clear more writing time and prepare the way for a transition to a more sustainable and flexible work schedule in the, hopefully, not-too-distant future. In other words, I will not forever be trying to publish a month’s worth of work in a week. Having said that, I have a few more weeks to go before I can ease back. I might not, yet, be hitting all my goals, but I am getting closer.

Without further ado, here are this week’s goals…and hopefully I’ve hit a little closer to the capability mark:

Main Goals:

1. Write 7 poems for Another 366 Days of Poetry (mixed genre, currently 33,172 words);

2. Write 7 pieces of flash for Another 366 Days of Flash Fiction (mixed genre, currently 40,209);

3. Complete the novel, Dark God's Demise (2nd Ed.) (dark action fantasy, currently 125,517);

4. Schedule the 2 Writer Reads videos required for the second December release;

6. Complete the formatting and publishing cycle for the short story, The Heights of Winter (2nd Ed.);

7. Complete the formatting and publishing cycle for the novel, Mack ‘n’ Me: Arach (3rd Ed.);

8. Complete the formatting and publishing cycle for the novel, Mack ‘n’ Me: The Transporter’s Favor (3rd Ed.);

9. Complete the formatting and publishing cycle for the short story, Screams for the Dying (1st Ed.);

10. Complete the reading edit for the novel, Mack ‘n’ Me: The Wolves of Alpha 9 (2nd Ed.);

11. Schedule the reading videos for The Heights of Winter;

12. Edit and schedule the reading videos for Mack ‘n’ Me: Arach;

13. Record the next 7 gameplay videos in the schedule;

14. Record the next 14 gameplay videos for the completion series;

15. Schedule the next 16 gameplay videos in the schedule;

Stretch Goals

1. Edit and schedule the reading videos for Mack ‘n’ Me: The Transporter’s Favor,

2. Complete the formatting and publishing cycle for the novel, Mack ‘n’ Me: The Wolves of Alpha 9 (2nd Ed.);

3. Complete the formatting and publishing cycle for the short story, Tischa’s Rescue (3rd Ed);

4. Write a short story.

In Closing

Results for the week just gone are being tallied, and will be posted in a couple of days. In short, not everything was completed, but some things were swapped in when I noticed they needed prioritizing, and the goals were set at a level that almost accounted for the unexpected. (Room for improvement, there.)
