Esmeralda
and the Breeze is the third short story in An Anthology of Those Who Walk Among Us,
the third Simpson Anthology, and it starts like this:
Esmeralda
sat upon the front step of her veranda. She sat and looked over her front
garden, across the white-washed palings of her fence and past the pond on the
village green. She sat and stared at the forest beyond.
Esmeralda and
the Breeze is a magic realism tale centered around a young
girl who grows up and estranges herself from her own family. Esmeralda and the Breeze is
approximately 1,820 words in length.
An
Anthology of Those Who Walk Among Us was released
in late July 2012.
