Australian Birds: Black Swan (Cygnus atratus)
This beautiful pair have come every year. I haven't seen the cygnets yet, but I guess they're working on that.
They swam below the polluted pool.
Climbed the bank.
Ate.
Returned to the water.
And swam some more.
The sun glare was a menace today. It's something I'll have to remember to take into consideration in future.

Lovely. We don't have them hereabouts but (of course) I remember them well from Perth.
ReplyDeleteI miss them when they're not around and worry for them. The little bit of reading I've done says they pair for life. It's always a bit of a relief to see them return and swim together from wherever it is they wander.
