Second (Re)-Release of the Year - Mack 'n' Me: Blaedergil's Host
The second edition of Mack 'n' Me: Blaedergil's Host released on January 20, and is now available once more. What's changed? Story-wise, not a lot. The book has had a re-edit and received a new cover (courtesy of Moonchild Ljilja at Fantasy Book Design) and new front and back matter, ensuring it gives a solid base for the stories that follow.
What's the Series About?
I'd like to say the entire series is about persistence when everything goes wrong...and the hope that, if you continue trying, something will finally go right, but my readers tell me it reminds me of a dysfunctional Firefly - and Heaven knows that crew was dysfunctional enough! - or that its kinda like grim-dark in space - and I'm not sure it's really that dark, but I'll take their word for it.
In
short, it's a dark, paramilitary, action-adventure science-fiction
novel set in a far-distant, and probably alternate, future where a small
mercenary company tries to navigate its way through missions that
almost always turn out to be more complicated than they appear...and
it's about one individual who desperately wants a home - just not this one.
And this Book?
Well, here's the blurb:
I stayed off Mack's radar for a good three months, or so I'd thought. Maybe he was just letting me run. He found me, kicked my ass and hauled me right back on board. He'd been doing that on and off for the past twelve months. Problem was, Odyssey was also on my tail, and, when this job was done, Mack was supposed to hand me back. Not gonna happen. And, now I was back to Square One: Kick free of Odyssey & kick free of Mack... just as soon as the mission was done, because how could I turn my back on *that*?
NOTE: The main character
swears like a sailor, and the support cast aren’t much better. If swears
bother you, then this story may not be to your taste.
Where Can I Find It?
Mack 'n' Me: Blaedergil's Host is published across a number of platforms, and I have included a universal link each time I've mentioned the title, and in the cover picture below.
Could you please check the release on Amazon? Did report this issue there, as well.
ReplyDeleteI downloaded on two devices (kindle and PC), and while the cover is correct, the title page and contents is the one from "Origins".
Same seems to happen when trying to read online through: https://read.amazon.com/?asin=B08PC4X2HJ
I've had a similar discussion on Facebook - and the reply there was I corrected the file as soon as it was reported, but there seems to be a glitch with the change that I am currently working through. Unfortunately, I am waiting for the Amazon process of the correction I applied when I was told the first correction had not gone through (despite the Amazon UI telling me the changes would go through in 72 hours). I am now waiting to try and access the title again, to re-apply the changes or to ascertain they have gone through BEFORE I talk to Amazon support to see if they can fix whatever has gone wrong. The correct file is now showing on my end, but does not seem to be processing through to the readers. I'll let you both know more, when I do.
DeleteThe corrected file is now showing in the Amazon storefront. Please check and let me know if it's come through for you, as well. Fingers crossed it's now gone through.
