Day 16 was, for some reason I can't remember, a very short work day. Words still got done, but not as many as I would have liked:

Starting Words: 60,791

Finishing Words: 62,678

Words Written: 1,887

Other Words: 0

Other Project/Project Aspects Advanced: 0

Excerpt: In which Oliver and Angelie have a battle of wills:

“I’m glad you never do that to me…” the girl confided, and Lewis leaned into her with a whine.

She giggled. “It’s okay, Shady. You are not a bad boy. You’re a very good boy.”

“Unlike some,” Rohim grumbled, giving Oliver’s muzzle a shake.

“Get. Off. Comet.” Angelie ordered, “or you and I are going to have words.”

Words? Lewis thought.

From the look on Oliver’s face, he wanted more than words. The child was just lucky she wasn’t a wolf.

“I’m giving you to the count of three,” Angelie told the alpha, and Rohim gave the girl a worried look.

Angelie started counting. “One.”

“Uh oh,” Giselle whispered, and scooted a little bit back, pulling Lewis with her.

They watched as Angelie reached into the pocket of the long dress-like shirt she was wearing.

“Two.”

Oliver growled, and Angelie shook her head.

“Wrong answer, dog,” she told him.

Lewis watched her narrow her eyes, and pull something out of her pocket. He just had time to register what it was, before she jammed it into Oliver’s ribs.

Oh crap.
