Despite getting sick from the flu shot, and working through a list of outstandings a mile long, I managed to maintain the flash fiction challenge as well. Not sure how, but I got some interesting pieces out of it, and I welcome each one.

Not much of a welcome, Clayton thought, watching the shuttle
pass overhead.
It would have been better if the damned thing had been alone, but it
