PokemonGo Tips - How to Remotely Feed Pokemon in Gyms

A little while back, I was out walking with my son, and we noticed that one of the gyms we had pokemon in was under attack. So, I said: "Well, we can't feed the pokemon remotely any more, so we'll just have to walk over there and take it back when they're done." And he said: "Actually..."

And that's what led to this post.

Apparently, you can feed your pokemon in a gym, when you're not there - and you can feed other people's pokemon, too. Here's how it works:

You have to have a pokemon in the gym.

Go to your pokemon bag, and select your pokemon by tapping on it - you can tell which ones are in the gym by the golden marker beside them.

When you select the pokemon, you will be taken to a screen showing your pokemon. As you can see, it looks a little different to the page showing  a pokemon not in a gym. This one has a picture of the gym, its name, and a little heart with wifi waves coming off the top. it also has a green button that says: GO TO GYM. Tap on the button to go visit your pokemon.
The next screen you will see, will be the inside of the gym. If your pokemon is not alone, you will see the other players' pokemon keeping it company. You will also see how many CP they have left. Tap on any of the pokemon.
As you can see, a berry will appear in front of it. Tap the berry to feed the pokemon. The pokemon does not have to be yours in order for you to be able to feed it.

If you don't want to feed that pokemon, but would rather feed the pokemon next to it, you can tap the pokemon beside it, and the same berry will appear in front of that pokemon. (Yes, sorry rhydon, I'm feeding the charizard...) Tap the berry to feed it to the pokemon.
When you have fed one berry, another berry will appear in front of the pokemon. You can feed it this berry, too, by tapping the berry. You will also notice that the CP above the pokemon has increased.

Another way to select another pokemon, tap the 'x' at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to a picture showing all the pokemon in the gym. It won't accidentally feed the bouncing berry to the pokemon, unless you actually tap the berry, okay? This way you can tease the pokemon with berry and not give the berry away - something I don't recommend, okay?
Anyway, when you're ready, tap on another pokemon. Again, a berry will appear in front of it, and you can tap the berry to feed that pokemon. When you run out of berries, the berry icon in the bottom right will fade out, and a little 'x0' will appear in an empty circle where the berry would be. (Yes, I gave the nanap to the rhydon. I am now forgiven... by the rhydon; charizard is not very happy with me. Apparently, he likes nanaps. Who knew?)

When you're done feeding, (or you've run out of berries, whichever comes first), you can view the pokemon inside the gym. You will notice that the CP above the pokemon you have fed is now higher... unless, of course, someone comes along and pummels the pokemon, or the pokemon grows unhappy, while you're busy typing your blog - sorry charizard, but you're still better off than when I started.
And that's how to feed a pokemon remotely. Just tap the 'x' to get out of the gym, and you're all set to catch more pokemon, or head out to the nearest stop for more berries.
Happy gaming, all!
