The Emotional Sky

This poem was written over the Easter weekend, and reflects the weather we had in Canberra over that period. It was oddly fitting. I added it as the April 5th entry for 366 Days of Poetry.

The sky

weeps. Grey clouds

weep for the betrayal,

the brutality. The sky weeps

for me.

Grey clouds

mark a grey day,

a day of solemn tears,

a day of mournful solitude,

waiting.

Brightly

dawns the third day,

blue with but few clouds,

floating high in celebration. He’s

risen.
