Words from NaNoWriMo Day 10 - Lunar Wolves Book 1

NaNoWriMo's Day 10 saw me working with a splitting headache and a sore throat. It also had me swearing off late nights forever... Well, until the next time I needed one, at least... I scraped the bare minimum with the words, but made it for another day in a row.

Starting Words: 19,343

Ending Words: 20,813

Total for the Day: 1,470

Extract: Oliver arrives on the ship:

“I’m Harper—and you need to come out of there, nice and slow.”

Well, this isn’t promising, Oliver thought, opening his eyes.

Neither is that, he added, eyeing the Brahms 57 she had leveled in his direction. Given how big a hole that thing made, he had no problems doing exactly as she’d asked.

Harper backed up as soon as he began to move, the muzzle of her Brahms not shifting from his middle.

“I see you’ve heard of me,” Oliver quipped, trying to ease the situation with humor.

The chief quickly put an end to that.

“No, and I don’t need to. Now go stand over there and let the doc check you over,” which was when Oliver realized there was a second person in the room and he’d missed him completely.
