Today sees the release of  Another 365 Days of Poetry, a brand new title in the C.M.'s Collections series,. Sporting a brand-new cover from Jake at JCaleb Design, Another 365 Days of Poetry is my latest collection of poetry.

What's it About?

365 days more of poetry, with verse ranging from the future to the past, the spooky to the melancholic, classic forms to experimental. Whether it’s a lost colony ship, or vampires celebrating Christmas, this volume runs the gamut of science fiction through to horror and urban fantasy.

Planet-Hopping Pussy Cat

 

Lucky is as lucky does,

or so says the cat in me,

the one that’s used up all its lives,

save the one you see,

for this black pussy cat

has romped the velvet night,

has seen red dwarves and super novas,

bathed in their refracted light,

and then lived to return in safety

to this planet’s arms,

a world that’s not quite perfect,

a world that has its harms,

but a world on which this cat was born,

and, even though I leave,

a world that still lets me return,

and rest, and safely dream.
